The Wagon & The Wigwam is a magical, hidden retreat in nature. Set in a private, rustic courtyard in the Hampshire countryside, step into a small world of cosy and creative comforts, featuring a sunken hot tub under a teepee! Rustic relaxation at its finest.
Follow the winding path to your own private hideaway. Some people paint, some sing, but this is my creative canvas! With no time scale or budget, the aim was to build something awesome!
Drink in the evening light over the fields through the large ‘tree’ window. Pull out the dining table made out of a tree, or snuggle under the covers and watch the world go by. Share a romantic shower made for two or gaze at the heavens from the ‘star lounge’ mezzanine while vinyl spins on the record player.
Roast marshmallows over the fire pit or flame-grill a barbecue dinner. Try your luck at the vintage games or fire up the gas pizza oven in the covered outdoor area. Crack open some wine and lean back in cosy armchairs by the open fire—whatever the weather.
Sink down into the sunken hot tub, heated by solar and an instant gas boiler for quick heating. Set the mood by firing up the jets, turning on the underwater lights, and lighting the log burner! Or fling wide the Wigwam doors and drink in the night sky. Listen closely for the call of nearby tawny owls. If you need the loo, you don’t need to go far. Swing open the saloon doors, and you’ll find the Wigwam toilet where the walls are covered with wine corks (not all ours—honest!).
When you go to bed, leave the curtains open to wake up to a glorious sunrise through the large tree window. Spot deer or mad March hares in the fields and listen for the cuckoo’s call. Over summer, look for the native orchids in the wildflower meadows. Our large garden encourages bees, birds, and butterflies, so keep an eye out for the many kinds of flora and fauna on your doorstep.
The Wagon & The Wigwam was lovingly crafted to create a truly unique and relaxing space. A beautifully light and airy space where comfort and countryside meet.
